SUMMARY:Is It Just Old Age? Recognising and Managing Arthritis in Dogs | A talk for dog owners
DESCRIPTION:Does your dog seem a bit stiff in the mornings? Reluctant to jump in the car\, slower on walks\, or just not quite themselves? It’s easy to put it down to age — but arthritis is one of the most common and most under-diagnosed conditions in dogs\, and the signs are often missed until the disease is well advanced. \nAnd it isn’t just an old dog’s disease. Arthritis can affect dogs from a young age — after an injury\, in certain breeds prone to joint problems\, or simply through wear over time. If your dog has ever slowed down on a walk\, hesitated on the stairs\, or seems “just a bit grumpier” lately\, this talk is for you\, whatever their age. \n Join us for an evening with Alice Morton from The Animal Therapy Co\, a specialist in canine physiotherapy\, for an honest and practical talk covering:\n \n\nThe early signs of arthritis — and why they’re so easy to overlook\, at any age\nHow to get a proper diagnosis and what to expect from your vet\nLong-term management — from lifestyle changes to medication and beyond\nHow physiotherapy can make a real difference to your dog’s comfort and quality of life\n\nWhether your dog is showing signs now or you just want to be better prepared\, this is an evening well worth attending. Arthritis doesn’t have to mean a lesser life for your dog — and it starts with knowing what to look for.\n\n£7.50pp\, with a percentage of proceeds going to Alice’s chosen charity\, Care Over Cost. \nCalling all good boys and girls! We may need a few calm\, friendly dogs on the night for Alice to demonstrate with. If your dog is happy being handled by someone new and up for taking part\, email events@fawleyfarmfeeds.co.uk.
