An Evening with Jack Jennings – Wessex Bloodhounds

We’re delighted to welcome Jack Jennings, Master & Huntsman of the Wessex Bloodhounds, for an evening talk on “hunting the clean boot” — the fascinating (and surprisingly fun!) sport of following bloodhounds trained to track a human scent trail, with no animal quarry involved at all.

Jack grew up around hounds and horses, spent years working with foxhounds and the New Forest Bloodhounds, and joined the Wessex Bloodhounds Mastership in 2025. He’ll be talking through how a clean boot hunt actually works, what a day out with the pack looks like, and what it takes to become “human quarry” yourself if you fancy being the one being chased!
